Comrades help create a space autonomous from the Australian Government through the esoteric power of dance

The Problem of Sangfroid* in the Age of Capitalist Decline and Global Warming as Expressed Through a Contemporary Remix of The Musical ‘West Side Story’ that Draws a Direct Link between the Quintessential Nature of American ‘Cool’ with the Melting of Ice Caps and Ecological Breakdown all of which Connects and Comes Together via the Iconic Portrayal of Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott as The-Coolest-Man-On-Earth that in turn References His Juvenile and Violently Nonchalant Denial of Climate Change. (title – Cool Version 2.0)

Cool Version 1.0:
The Problem of Sangfroid in the Age of Capitalist Decline and Global Warming as Expressed Through a Contemporary Remix of The Musical ‘West Side Story’ that Draws Connections to Peurto Rico’s Likely Move from Colonised Territory to Fifty First Star of the American Union and Ongoing Alignments between Racist, Colonial and Denialist Behaviours in Global Politics and Street Gang Culture

What is this? Via commissions for Nat Cursio’s The Album Project, very dear Hydra/youth comrades worked on two remixed performance versions of Cool from West Side Story. Sete Tele, Rachel Ogle, Aimee Smith and Kynan Hughes  worked with Sam Fox to deploy the esoteric magic of dance against the forces of tricolour whiteness – supremacist, transnational corporate-governmental racist, environmentally abusive patriarchy. A colour scheme we are implicated by.
